Spiritual Ceremony
OPENING BLESSING
On behalf of (Bride and Groom) I would like to welcome you and thank you for sharing this very special day with them. Your presence here is a visible expression of your love and respect for their decision to marry.
(Bride and Groom) surrounded by your family and friends as they gather to witness your marriage and share in the joy of the happy occasion.
MARRIAGE is a holy estate Christ adorned and beautified with His presence and first miracle that he wrought in Cana of Galilee. This estate is not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly but reverently, discreetly, advisedly ,soberly and in the face of God. Into this holy estate (Bride and Groom) come now to be joined. What God has joined together let no man take apart.
Life is a story. It has a beginning that started at work (when and where) And like a story, it is best experienced with the people you love. Everyone is here because you are a part of the story. Your presence here today is not only to share in their joy but also a joy itself.
(Bride and Groom) you are marrying because you enjoy each others company and because you want to be together. Although you will be sharing one life never forget that you are two separate people. Cherish and affirm your differences. Love each other. Together you will laugh and cry, be sick and well, be happy and angry you will share and grow.
Love and life are always changing, always new. To ensure a lasting and healthy marriage always, always value each other. Respect each others feelings, needs and wants. Never grow too old to hold hands and remember to say “I love you” at least once each day. Heal quarrels as they happen and do not go to bed angry. Above all else, never loose your sense of humor.
Do not take your marriage for granted and do not let it end with the honeymoon.
(Groom) do you take (Bride) to be your wife, constant friend and love from this day forward? Do you offer your solemn vow to be her faithful partner is sickness and in health and in joy as well as sorrow? Do you promise to love her, to support her, to honor her and respect her, and to cherish her for as long as you both shall live?
